7 Best Pink Lipsticks for Every Skin Tone

Pink is a fabulously flattering colour to brighten your lips for any occasion. Contrary to popular belief, pink isn’t just for Wednesdays! I guess Regina George was ahead of her time when she famously said, “on Wednesdays, we wear pink”. Now I believe it’s an ideal colour for all 7 days of the week! With so many varieties of pink, it can be quite challenging to try find the shade that best compliments your skin tone. Here are some tips to help you with your search! Which pink lipstick is the perfect shade for you?

ROUGE COCO FLASH 132 “Flushed”

Fair/ Light Skin Tones
If you have a fair or light skin tone, you are most likely to have a cool undertone. If you’re after a soft everyday lipstick, I would recommend a rosy pink shade like this one from Chanel. This shade will enhance the natural color of your lips plus, add a bit of shine to them for a gorgeous rosy finish. Or should I say, leaving your lips “flushed” with color! This lightweight formula is great as an everyday lipstick thanks to its blend of oils to moisturize your lips. Keeping them hydrated for up to 8 hours! If you’re looking for something with more of a subtle color payoff, this is the lipstick for you.

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink “Pathfinder”

If you’re feeling a bit adventurous you could experiment with a bold pink to brighten up your skin tone. Maybelline’s SuperStay Matte Ink in the shade “Pathfinder” is a striking pink to liven up cool undertones. Even though it’s a matte lipstick, it’s formula is non-drying. Making it super comfortable to wear and lasts for 12 hours! Perfect for date night or brunch with the girls. Plus, it has a very unique arrow shaped applicator, which makes it easy and precise to apply this liquid lipstick to your lips. What’s not to love?

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick Balm “Corail Marrakech”

Medium/ Olive Skin Tones
For medium skin tones, I would suggest shades that’ll complement your warm undertones. An orange-peach or coral lipstick will be able to emphasize the natural colour of your lips, especially for a beautiful no makeup looks.

Yves Saint Laurent’s Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick Balm in the shade “Corail Marrakech” is gorgeous option for medium skin tones. Can you believe this lipstick is made from 65% essential oils? That’s almost too good to be true! This high shine balm adds an elegant finish to any makeup look. Its oil infused texture provides a sheer pop of colour and instant hydration. This balm claims to offer a medium coverage and is even mango scented. Sounds good enough to eat!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Extreme Lipstick Mauve Maxx

If you have an olive skin tone, due to your yellowish green undertones, a darker shade of pink with purple hues will be able to bring out the best in your skin tone. I would suggest reaching for a mauve pink lipstick. This shade is rich, playful and adds a lovely pop of colour to olive skin tones. I personally love Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Extreme Lipstick in “Mauve Maxx”. If it isn’t already obvious from the name, this lipstick has an incredible satin finish which is amazingly long “lasting”. Up to 10 hours to be precise! Its lightweight texture is wonderful and certainly comfortable for everyday wear.

Dark/ Deep Skin Tones
If you have deep and dark skin tones, I would recommend trying out vibrant shades such as hot pink and fuchsia. These rich tones will definitely complement your complexion beautifully.

L’oreal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick “Speak Up”

L’oreal’s Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick has the most outstanding fuchsia in its shade range. This bold shade is called “Speak Up”, quite fitting for such a loud colour. I love it! The lightweight, oil-in-water formula almost feels like a creamy lip gloss when swiping it across your lips. No more worrying about dry crusty lips with this product. Who knew a matte finish could be so hydrating? Comfort and pigment. It’s a win-win situation.

Charlotte Tilbury My Matte Revolution Lipstick “Walk of No Shame”

Rose pink and berry shades also look brilliant on dark and deep skin tones. These shades are excellent for everyday looks or if you’re going for a “your lips but better” vibe. Either way, I have found just the shade for you! Charlotte Tilbury’s My Matte Revolution Lipstick range has a lovely and elegant berry rose matte lipstick. The shade “Walk of No Shame”, adds a touch of warmth to your lips for a delicate everyday glam look. Its non-drying formula is packed with ingredients such as Orchid extracts and a blend of oils and waxes to keep your lips soft and hydrated. Better yet, this lipstick will give you pigment for up to 10 hours!

Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint

Something for everyone!
A lip product that everyone can pull off is a pink tinted lip balm. I believe that this
could in fact suit everyone. Offering a light, neutral hint of pink to your lips. Bobbi Brown’s Extra Lip Tint is enriched with Jojoba, Avocado and Olive Oils to moisturize your lips and even help reduce the appearance of fine lines! Its balmy texture makes it really easy to wear, so it’s a good choice for everyday use. The Extra Lip Tint provides a fantastic sheer lip stain that blends in with your natural lip color, adding a subtle pink hue. A huge bonus is that it’ll enhance your lips with just enough pigment to make it look like you’ve made an effort. “No Makeup Look”, here I come!
