With new makeup being released at an alarming rate daily, we have chosen to make it easier for you to filter among the latest liners, lipsticks, and other cosmetics. Even though we have our personal favorites, we get excited about new cosmetic releases. Brands are constantly updating their product lines with innovative formulations, colorful hues, and juicy partnerships, and we’re all for it. We’re presenting the new cosmetics that are coming out in June that we recommend adding to your basket, just as we usually do with hair and skincare. Wear these things proudly on your next (sustainable and secure) trip, or simply for fun while experimenting at home and attending your millionth Zoom conference as the globe slowly opens up again.
Nars Quad Eyeshadow in Taj Mahal ($41)
Nars will refresh some of its most famous eye shadow palettes on June 14th, with deeper, creamier powders that make blending and stacking a joy. The Nars Quad Eyeshadow palette in Taj Mahal is inspired by the brand’s famous Taj Mahal blusher, which is a caramel yellow with gold shimmer sparkles.
Ilia Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm ($21)
Ilia’s Balmy Tint Nourishing Lip Balms reintroduce the season ticket holder product that helped establish the cruelty-free, editor-favorite business all those years ago. For supple, smooth-as-silk lips, all eight hues are saturated with hydration-boosting sea algae, rosehip seed oil, and shea butter. “Hold Me” (seen above) is a warm peachy nude that may easily become your new go-to shade.
Glamnetic x Hello Kitty and Friends Collection ($65)
Glamnetic’s first-ever branded partnership is inspired by the delightful world of Hello Kitty and Friends, which can only mean one thing: adorably gorgeous packaging. Smashbox Be Legendary Prime & Plush Lipstick ($24)
If you are anything like us, this is the time of year when you reintroduce yourself to your lipstick collections. Fiery lips, we’ve missed you. Smashbox’s Be Legendary Prime & Plush Lipsticks are at the crossroads of long-lasting moisture and intense pigmentation, as shown above in colors like Unbridled, a vibrant red-orange. All 14 colors are wonderfully milky and don’t settle into thin lines, ranging from gentle pinks to brick reds to cool earthy colors, mauves to deep browns.
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream in Deep Bronze ($45)
Chanel’s cream bronzer is a famous cosmetic product that has only been available in one tawny hue appropriate for light to medium complexion tones, which is a shame. According to makeup artist and Chanel brand Ambassador Kay Montano, this will change in June with the debut of Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream in Deep Bronze, a deeper, deeper color that works best for light-deep to dark complexion tones.
Ouai Rue St. Honoré Eau De Parfum ($56)
Rue St. Honoré Eau De Parfum by Ouai transports you to Paris with a delicate yet refined mixture of lilac, gardenia, lavender, and ivory musk. When you smell as nice as a handpicked floral, why need flowers?
Talk about a mood booster in a flash. P.S. If you like the fragrance of Ouai’s Hair Oil or Matte Pomade, you will probably love this perfume drizzled all over as well.
