Brown’s Popularity In the Fashion Industry

Brown is a hue that doesn’t get much attention, but in 2021 it has captured the spotlight. Brown has evolved from being associated with filth and boredom to becoming the most popular color today. We’ve recently seen a dramatic shift in fashion toward earthy colours, and because brown wasn’t as popular before, its comeback was fresh and new, becoming the new black. All celebrities, models, designers, influencers, and fashion lovers are now wearing brown tones.

You can find shades of brown on tops, bottoms, and accessories everywhere. Brown was an obvious option in 2021 since we were all missing the soothing effects of being outdoors in nature due to Covid. The colour made an appearance on the fall runways of Brunello Cucinelli, Bottega Veneta, and Prabal Gurung, and since then the colour had made its impact on people.

Brown is incredibly on-trend right now, according to designer Carter Altman, because it’s the best tone for earthy and natural feelings. “Brown is a very utilitarian colour. It’s economical. It’s more historically minded and easier to achieve by hand-dyeing techniques,” Altman told Vox. Altman was not wrong about the easy process of achieving the color via hand-dyeing because dyeing clothes brown became a massive craze on TikTok, where hundreds of Gen-Zers shared videos of themselves dyeing their tops, bottoms, and shoes the hues of brown. Given the current trend for minimalism and natural beauty, it’s no surprise that this natural hue has been welcomed on both the runways and the streets style.

Now, unlike other dark neutrals, mixing tones of brown in an outfit is simple. If you’re not ready for an all-brown outfit, you can always start small. Don’t forget that your outfits are not complete without accessories. Using elegant brown accessories like a hairband, purses, jewelry, and even makeup or nails to include the tone is a terrific method to do it.

If you want to show off the color more, you can add a brown shade top or bottom. You can invest in brown jeans or flare pants or add a brown blouse or a chic jacket to your wardrobe. If you are ready for a full all-brown monochromatic outfit then no one is stopping you, we’re actually cheering for you and can’t wait to see it happen. You can start with a dress so not many decisions has to be made when it comes to add-ups. If you’d like to have a top and a bottom, then you can start if with a two-piece set. Or you can play around with the shades, such as a dark chocolate top completed with a sand brown bottom.
