Earlier this year, the trend of having a glossy, glowy skin complexion surfaced with celebrities and beauty influencers leading the way.
Now a model and founder of the newly launched skincare line ‘Rhode Skin’, Hailey Bieber is trending for her signature nails which are inspired by the ‘Glazed Donut Skin’ trend.
Over the past month, searches for ‘Hailey Bieber Nails’ have skyrocketed by 1150% on an image sharing platform, Pinterest, and now eCommerce savings platform WeThrift reported searches for ‘Minimalist Nails’ have increased by a huge 50% on the app.
Not only have we noticed an increase in searches for this trend on Pinterest, but TikTok too, the video-sharing platform created the #haileybiebernails hashtag which now holds 26.1M views! The hashtag is flooded with creators sharing their take on the hottest nail trend and showing how you can do it at home.
In line with the theme of minimalistic manicures, searches for ‘Biab Nails’ have also increased by 96% on Pinterest and interestingly the search for Acrylic Nails has decreased on Pinterest by – 30%, so it’s clear that the demand for natural nails is much higher this summer.

“This nail trend is growing in popularity due to the minimalist, chic nature of the pearlescent color. As we enter a new era of sustainable fashion and beauty, minimalism seems to be at the core of the latest beauty trends, which will explain why these nails are gaining traction.
“The summer season is known for weddings and celebrations alike, so it comes as no surprise that this nail shade is making its way around the beauty industry. The simple, yet glamorous essence of the manicure, make it a crowd pleaser for those who may have elegant summer day parties to attend.
“Celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens have also fed into the viral beauty trend and shared the look on her Instagram. Now the demand for this nail color will be pretty high and we can expect to see more celebs trying this trend in the near future.”
