In 2005, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen presented themselves with new, creative looks at their very first Met Gala. This Met Gala’s theme was inspired by the “House of Chanel” exhibition and knowing the creativity and range of the twins they didn’t stick to the theme of the Gala. Ashley wore a gold Oscar de la Renta dress, while Mary-Kate channeled her bohemian style with a white, vintage, floor-length dress, and to top it all off she accessorized with layered jewelry.

Goth Fashion – Paris Fashion Week 2007

From 2007 to 2008, the Olsen Twins went through a goth phase making their style a little darker than what we were used to. Their style majorly consisted of black, leather, and drama. Mary-Kate Olsen steered more towards glamorous goth as she embraced feathers, chiffon gowns, a crimson lip, and heavy black liner. This era was when Mary-Kate wore iconic Balenciaga harness boots along with black tights, shorts, and an oversized shirt. Ashley, however, leaned towards a romantic gothic style as her outfits mostly consisted of lace, Victorian details on red carpets, and leather jackets behind the scenes.

The high glamour era of the Olsen Twins reached its peak while they were in Paris for fashion week. The sisters deliver high-drama and super-glamorous looks as they were shopping on the Champ Élysées. From high-glamour to minimalism, the Olsen Twins have gone through many diverse styles over the years. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have shown that minimalism is the way to go in 2017 as they wore makeup that appeared to be barely there and loose hair that gives a delicate touch to a tailored look. At the Youth America Grand Prix’s Stars Of Today Meet The Stars Of Tomorrow Gala, Ashley Olsen went for an all-white dress paired nicely with a small black clutch while Mary-Kate wore a carbon black dress with accents of champagne peeking underneath.
