On 28^th October 2023, Mathew Perry, one of the most beloved Hollywood actors and comedians, best known for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on “Friends” passed away at 54.

For many people worldwide, we’re sure this feels like a personal loss. Although he technically was one of the six on-screen friends, he was also OUR friend in many ways.

In the pilot, and a few other episodes we can see him sporting simple half-sleeve bowling shirts. We can’t think of a cooler yet laid-back outfit to hang out with friends.

Chandler was perhaps the only icon who made a statement with sweatpants. In several episodes, the man sported an ultra-laid-back look where he tucked his sweatpants into his socks and matched it with an oversized jumper or sweater. We don’t know if this was improvised, in which case it would be Mathew Perry’s very own fashion choice, or if it was planned. But even today, people try to mimic the look with ankle-sinched joggers.
