In 2023, YouTubers and TikTokers are the new celebrities, with some of the most successful current stars starting out their careers on social media.
Some of these stars have even turned vlogging into a family business, with some of the most successful social media personalities found by Business Name Generator’s Vloggers’ Success Files campaign being directly related to one another as siblings.
- Logan Paul & Jake Paul

Hailing from Ohio, USA, both of the Paul brothers placed within the top three most successful vloggers in the world – according to the Vloggers’ Success Files campaign. Younger brother, Jake Paul placed second with a huge score of 94.8 ouf of 100, while Logan Paul ranked just behind in third with a hefty 92.8 score.
Each of the brothers first found fame on the video-sharing sites, Vine and YouTube, on the latter of which, older brother Logan actually has more subscribers than Jake – 23.6 million, compared to 20.4 million. However, Jake has proven a bigger hit on TikTok with 16.8 million followers on that platform, compared to Logan’s 16.1 million.
Having mastered the art of social media success, each brother stepped into the world of competitive sport with Jake Paul becoming a boxer, winning six fights out of six so far. Meanwhile, Logan Paul started competing in the WWE as a wrestler, holding a fighting record of two wins out of three.
Furthermore, each brother has utilised their huge online following to market their various business ventures. Logan Paul has most recently found huge success in the drinks business, by teaming up with fellow vlogger KSI to market the extremely in-demand PRIME energy drinks.
- Charli D’Amelio & Dixie D’Amelio

Few stars have managed to turn TikTok into a family business quite like the D’Amelio sisters, Charli and Dixie. The siblings were born and raised in the state of Connecticut, USA.
In 2019, at the age of just 16, younger sister Charli D’Amelio became the highest-earning female personality on TikTok, and according to Forbes she was the highest-earning content creator on the app in 2022.
Research from Business Name Generator showed that Charli earns on average $272,705 (£221,504) per post to either TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. By comparison, older sister Dixie earns an average of $129,535 (£105,214) per social media upload – putting both sisters in the top ten social media earners.
Truly keeping it in the family, the sisters teamed up for the Disney Plus docuseries, The D’Amelio Show, which gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at their glamorous and busy lifestyles.
Charli ranked higher in the Vloggers’ Success Files, placing fourth with an immacculate score of 90.5 out of 100. Meanwhile, Dixie also scored impressively – 86.9 out of 100 – for a ninth place ranking.
- Zoella & Joe Sugg

The Sugg siblings grew up in the civil parish of Lacock in the Costwolds, England, which is almost entirely owned by The National Trust, is it any wonder Zoe and Joe turned to the internet as teenagers?
Having started her social media career in 2009, Zoe ‘Zoella’ Sugg was at one time the biggest name on YouTube. Peaking in online popularity between 2014 and 2018, Zoella has since turned her focus more towards her various business ventures, but sustains a massive following of 13.7 million followers between YouTube and Instagram.
Her younger brother, Joe ‘ThatcherJoe’ Sugg has managed to replicate – and in some ways surpass – his older sister’s social media success. Between YouTube and Instagram, Joe Sugg has a 14 million strong follower base. Joe also boasts a further 1.2 million followers on TikTok, but sister, Zoe is not active on the platform.
In 2016, the siblings teamed up to release a range of ‘Sugg Life’ branded merchandise – play on the popular ‘thug life’ phrase. Zoe has continued to make moves in the fashion and cosmetics industries to great success. Meanwhile, Joe has found further success outside of social media, authoring his own graphic novels and doing voice acting work for various animated hits.
Joe Sugg ranked 22nd overall on the Vloggers’ Success Files campaign with a total score of 73.1 out of 100. Elsewhere, older sister Zoe ranked just below in 34th with a respectable 62.4 score.
