2021 has been a year filled with so many fresh talents who have been dropping gems, catchy tunes, and overall quality projects so far. Out of the amazing new talents this year, here are a few celebrities to watch out for in 2021:
Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Rodrigo is a singer and actress whose debut single “Drivers License” went viral earlier this year breaking Spotify’s record for most streams for a non-holiday song in one day. Before then, she was playing the role of “Paige Olvera” on Disney’s Bizaardvark. She now has another single out “Deja Vu” and an album “Sour” on the way. She is definitely one to look out for.
Amber Anderson
Amber Anderson is an English actress who was recently announced to be starring in the new season of Peaky Blinders. Some of her bigger projects include her roles in Emma (2020), White Lie (2019), Your Highness (2011). A fun fact about Amber is that a ‘Performing Arts Scholarship’ was invented at Gordonstoun School so she could attend after she auditioned for and got the music and Drama Scholarships but could not be given both simultaneously. Get used to this name because you will be hearing it all year long.
Daniella Perkins
20-year-old Daniella Perkins is an American actress and creator who has been working her way to opportunities through the creation of entertaining digital content on YouTube, TikTok, and the short-lived Musical.ly. She has starred multiple times on Nickelodeon and Brat and finally landed her own show, “Knight Squad” (2018-2019), on Nickelodeon. She posts on YouTube consistently and is determined and working hard to land more opportunities and collaborations. Watch out for her upcoming short film “Traumatica” alongside David Schwimmer and Iddo Goldberg.
Hotboii
Hotboii is a singer from Orlando, Florida who worked his way up from dropping singles on Soundcloud to having a breakout single “Don’t Need Time” in 2020. The music video for the song hit 52 million views and he is currently signed to Records. He released 2 albums last year and is dropping the music videos for some of the songs. Gear up for Hotboii this year because he is certainly on the rise.
Kerolyn Soares
Elegant 24-year-old Brazilian model Kerolyn Soares became a breakout star last year booking shows such as Givenchy, Loewe, Prada, and YSL. With her unique features and elegant strut, and her being signed to IMG Models and Another Agency, Kerolyn’s modeling career is about to take off.
Mustafa the Poet
Mustafa is a musician born in Toronto to Sudanese immigrants who have been interested in poetry from a young age. His messages are always raw and honest, and he speaks about race, community, love, injustice, and other topics. His debut single “Stay Alive” was released in 2020 and his debut album “When Smoke Rises” is on the way. His poetry and songwriting opened doors for him to work with Drake, The Weeknd, and Camilla Cabello. Keep an eye out for Mustafa.
