It’s impossible to ignore the absence of someone truly special from the red carpet in recent years—especially with the resurgence of Romcom Highlights and other Y2K-inspired trends. Let’s be honest, we’ve all rewatched The Holiday lately, so you’ve probably guessed I’m talking about none other than Cameron Diaz.

On January 15, the queen returned in Berlin for a special Back in Action screening of her aptly named comeback film marking the end of a ten-year acting hiatus. But more importantly, it signals the end of a five-year break from doling out that red carpet magic.
The 52-year-old wowed with a matte red lip by makeup artist Mélanie Inglessis, longtime collaborator of Diaz. She went for a rich, blue-tinged red that balanced Diaz’s skin tone to perfection and made her eyes pop. The look was finished with big, luscious lashes to beautifully balance everything out.

She struck a return with a fresh face-framing hairstyle featuring long, soft waves. More noticeably, she went full-on glamour for the event, pairing a bold red lip with matching nail polish. Her lips were painted a rich, matte crimson that paired well with her cherry-red, short, rounded square manicure. The finishing touches included a warm, orange-toned blush adding radiance, while the vivid red tones made her bright blue eyes sparkle brilliants.
