Bad Bunny triples Taylor Swift’s Spotify revenue from streams with $29 million earned in 2025

As the 2026 Grammy nominations were announced earlier this month, audiences seem to have already picked their favorites – a quick look at the most-streamed tracks on Spotify from 2025 reveals listeners are obsessed with certain artists. In light of this, I am reaching out with our recent report, which examines the most popular songs and artists on the streaming platform and the revenue they have generated to date.

To highlight Spotify’s top artists and tracks, the team at TradingPlatforms aggregated Kworb and Spotify all-time weekly chart data from 73 countries and estimated revenue by multiplying streams by $0.004 (the midpoint of Spotify’s $0.003–$0.005 payout). The full dataset is available on Google Drive via this link.

Streaming data reveals that three songs, released in 2025, have already been listened to more than a billion times on Spotify. This year’s most-streamed track is Alex Warren’s ‘Ordinary’, which has amassed roughly 1.33 billion streams on the platform and generated $3.8 million in revenue. However, Puerto Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny emerges as the most popular and relevant artist right now – his 15 tracks from 2025 have been listened to a total of 7.3 billion times. The streaming revenue from these songs alone comes to $29.1 million, triple what Taylor Swift’s newest hits have generated.

These are 2025’s Top-Earning Artists on Spotify: (based on streams of tracks released in 2025)

Bad Bunny – 7.3 billion streams from 15 tracks, $29.08 million in estimated revenue

Taylor Swift – 2.5 billion streams from 12 tracks, $10.14 million

HUNTR/X – 2.3 billion streams from 4 tracks, $9,327,359

Tate McRae – 2.1 billion streams from 8 tracks, $8,466,951

Sabrina Carpenter – 2 billion streams from 9 tracks, $7,911,217

Alex Warren – 1.7 billion streams from 3 tracks, $6,994,348

Fuerza Regida – 1.6 billion streams from 6 tracks, $6,540,206

Netón Vega – 1.6 billion streams from 7 tracks, $6,328,786

JENNIE – 1.4 billion streams from 5 tracks, $5,405,058

Beéle – 1.3 billion streams from 6 tracks, $5,397,228

Here are a few key takeaways from the report:

The year 2025 belongs to Bad Bunny, whose 15 new tracks have racked up a staggering 7.3 billion streams, delivering triple the revenue of Taylor Swift’s latest releases and cementing him as the year’s defining superstar. His 15 songs from 2025 have earned more than $29 million in estimated revenue, whereas Taylor Swift’s 12 new hits have been listened to 2.5 billion times and brought in revenue of around $10 million.

Fictional K-pop girl group HUNTR/X from the popular Netflix film ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ ranks as the third-most popular act for 2025 on Spotify. From just four tracks, among them Grammy-nominated song ‘Golden’, the group, along with all rights holders, has generated an estimated $9.3 million in streaming revenue.

2025’s songs by Canadian pop singer Tate McRae have amassed around 2.1 billion streams and generated more than $8.4 million in earnings, making her this year’s fourth most-streamed artist so far. Following in fifth place is American singer Sabrina Carpenter, whose 9 tracks, released in 2025, have been streamed roughly 2 billion times. The streaming revenue from those songs alone is estimated at around $7.9 million.

‘Ordinary’ by American singer and YouTuber Alex Warren remains the most-streamed song from 2025 on Spotify. Since its release on February 7, 2025, it has accumulated more than 1.3 billion streams and has brought in well over $5.3 million in earnings.
