Some of the prints we saw were lines and stripes which are expected to strike this summer. From Burberry to Christian Dior, making their way to the runway with the biggest and most colorful stripes we have ever seen. Ranging from vertical, horizontal, wild, and parallel strips on dresses, skirts, shirts, and pants which are the most visual runways we have ever seen.
I can say that vertical stripes brought more attention than horizontal stripes, as it was extremely vibrant this season and reflected high fashion on the runway. We have seen striped skirts and robes by Christian Dior, and they were so refreshing and fashionable to wear; the collection was flavored with earthy, romantic, ethnic-toned looks. I literally can’t wait to wear them. Furthermore, we have seen a whole collection of vertical stripes with popping colors by Versace; the collection is screaming with colors and so eye-catchy.
On the other hand, horizontal stripes are timeless and can never be out of style, and retains a low-profile image. Horizontal stripes helped to highlight the contrast colors, making the combination stand out. All the sweaters in Burberry’s unique show, which was held in natural ambiance, were adorned in black and orange stripes making it comfy yet cozy. At the Miu Mui SS21 show, polo shirts featured wide stripes in vibrant colors. The vibrance of the colors on the polo shirts accentuates your silhouette with every step you take.

Another designer’s clothing demonstrated other directions and patterns of stripes. For example, Louis Vuitton mixed multiple patterns and directions of diagonal and horizontal stripes on dresses, making them chaotic and relaxed to wear. The mixture of horizontal, diagonal, and blocks of colors on light tea-length halter dresses are the perfect fit this summer as they’re loose-fitting dresses yet they exude confidence, chaos, and high fashion.
